Mr. Hess's Grading System : Hands-on Class Environment

The Students will receive  76 points a day for Class Participation
They must do their daily assignments,  Labs, Research, and/or lectures
(This Includes Substitute Assigned Work)
Their final Class Participation is an average of all the days attended
This doesn't include a student cutting my class
Their Class Participation grade will be lowered for the following reasons:
Skipping Classes, Inappropriate Internet Uses, Poor Behavior , Not doing work ,
Inappropriate Games,  Uses of  Distraction Devices

Projects and Homework will total up to 14% of their Grade
As long as they are doing their work they will be able to earn the 14%. I allow one extra day per projects for Make up.  I have a bunch of quick day projects for ones who get done early or on time. These students also have the opportunity to help out their fellow classmates. "Leave no one behind" -US Army Rangers Motto
During Lectures at the computes or my Round Table I may evaluate by a quiz's. The students may sometime  show others how to do the quiz  with teacher permission
WHAT IF THE STUDENT IS NOT GOOD AT TAKING A WRITTEN TEST ?
The  End of the Semester Test is only 4%, so even if they do not pass the test, they can still receive an A FOR THE SEMESTER

VHS Final Grade Policy

1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH SUBTOTAL Final Project Final Test
100 100 100 100 89 6 5 100
96 96 96 96 85 6 5 96

8/9=.89or 89%

1/9=.11 or 11%

90 to100
=4.0

1st add your scores up for the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th Marking Period
2nd then times it by two
3rd divide by nine
a 100= 89 or a 96=85

Since this is a hands on class learning Environment  it's only fair to test the students with  a project  that contains all of their skills, with the traditional written Final .
Also again to the above question. The points were set so that the students can do all of their hands on projects and pay attention to lectures and receive a 91 which is an A or 4.0 to their GPA
